The REF is on a quarterly application cycle, as noted above. Once an award is made, no more applications for future cycles will be accepted.

This award either will be made through the ACR REF/Abbott Medical Student Research Preceptorship or the ACR REF/Abbott Health Professional Graduate Student Research Preceptorship.

Both awards provide complimentary registration and reimbursement of up to $1,000 in travel expenses to attend the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting during the current award year or the following year.
