For almost 20 years, the Sjögren's Syndrome Foundation has been the premiere organization in Sjögren's syndrome research funding. Our goal is to catalyze and support research efforts and new ideas for investigation until a cure for this devastating autoimmune disease is found.

We are proud of the innovative work we fund. We support promising research ideas that may be passed over by large drug companies as being too "new and untested." Our goal is that the first-stage funding we provide will result in the evidence required by mainstream funding sources.

The SSF offers:

• Research grants for 1 to 2 years for promising or established investigators.
• Student fellowships for semester or summer projects.
• Outstanding abstract awards for excellence in research presented in poster sessions at professional meetings.

All grants, fellowships, and awards are determined by a review committee made up of medical and scientific experts in Sjögren’s syndrome and appointed by the SSF Medical and Scientific Advisory Board.

Special Educational Opportunities
